Nancy O'Dell began her broadcast career as a reporter and anchor at WPDE-TV located in Myrtle Beach South Carolina. Later, she was morning news anchor for WCBD TV and also as the crime reporter. While in Charleston O'Dell's reports on the lenient police approach towards DUI cases resulted in an State Law Enforcement Division investigation that led to states authorities again releasing the strictest guidelines regarding the cases. Ms. O'Dell was honored by her colleagues at the Associated Press with the Best Report of the Year Award all media South Carolina. O'Dell was a reporter and anchor for a time at Charleston working as a journalist, was a co-anchor at NBC's Miami WTVJ-TV station prior to moving into Access Hollywood where she is an anchor and reporter during weekends. The present role of O'Dell as host for Access Hollywood is complemented by her contributions to NBC News Today, Dateline NBC as well as NBC News. She has covered major events like The Oscars, The Emmys, The Grammys, and The Golden Globe Awards. Alongside co-hosting the Pre-ShowArrivals for The Emmys & The Golden Globes. Also, she co-hosted Miss USA's pageant, as in addition to the Miss Universe Pageant.
